My Random Thoughts
Politics • Business
For people who like to think, maybe to much, and maybe the wrong things. I like social policies, with capitalist implementations.

A place to talk how to improve health care, schools and the political process. I believe in free speech and encourage all to speak. I also like a good debate. it is not about winning, it's about thinking and expressing.

Critical Race Theory Hits grade school!

Yes, CRT or DIE has been introduced to my daughter grade school. More exactly the TCDSB. I have written a letter to my school trustee that I will send out soon. Yes it was watered down, the fundamentals were the same. When you have say "don't hate white people", you know are planting the wrong seeds.

the letter B<---

I recently caught a small glimpse of anti-racism training provided to grade 7 and 8 students a few weeks back. There were some good points, like how to handle racism.
Where we need to improve is on the concept of privilege. Does privilege exist? Absolute yes. For example, there is birth privilege, being born in a well-off family, such as being a prince, or the Queen. Then there is privilege of wealth, you can fly first class; the poor cannot fly anywhere. These privileges transcend race and colour
What is white privilege? The question was answered as poorly as it could have been. Do you treat white people better? Do the people who presented treat white people better? Does the school board have special policies to treat white people? So where does this white privilege exist?
They gave an example of a white person going to a bank, it is easier for a white person to get a mortgage or a bank loan. Why and how? Applications are done online and approved with by a program. All of banking can be done online. Does any application ask your colour? Or race? No. Can we ask people in the banking industry why and how? The key factor to barrowing money is your perceived ability to pay it back, with interest. Credit score, credit history, current income, ‘money in the bank’, your current savings, and current debt load. That will tell anyone how much debt you or any person can have. Banks make their money on your debt. Why would they turn anyone away unless they thought there were going to lose money? This is in current times.
Why do we not call some banks and ask them? I can find a banker or two to talk about it if you like.
Instead of teaching kids that the race/colour is important, teach them the truth, and what matters. Teach them to pay off bills, live within their means, save money, build credit. I can also find experts to their as well if you like.
Did you know that Asian people have a higher rate of borrowing acceptance that white people? Is that Asian privilege? I think not. 1st generation Japanese people in America, by percentage, have the highest rate of becoming a corporate vice presidency. Is that Japanese privilege? I think not.
More importantly why were the children not taught to question what was said? There is difference between asking a question and questioning the source. The source did not present any facts, or studies. Just their beliefs as facts. For that we have Catechism. Where is the proof? Students are expected to show proof in math class, they do it for English class, they apply a means to find proof in science class. Why not question people, news, and other media the same way? I clearly remember my grade 7 teacher review some news articles, breaking them down and questioning what we read.
They did say do not blame white people. Which is good. Blame white people for what now? And more importantly they also do not hate people. We should not hate anyone. What happen to “love your neighbour as yourself.” They accused white people of having privilege, not able to prove it, and to make good, do not hate. Because “it is not their fault”. Not at fault because it no longer exists.
Is there privilege based on Gender, does this exist? Of course!
For example, there are woman only Gym classes, woman only Gyms, and support groups for woman. Where are the Man’s only gyms?
And when it comes to parenting, I often receive dirty looks and more questioning than female parents when picking up my child from school. Not all, but some make it clear there is no place for me there. Is it because some label me as white, or a man?
The point of power was brought up. I did not hear it all, but I will say that hierarchies are needed, it has nothing to do with being a man or power. For example, your schools are power hierarchies. There are teachers, students, vice principals, principals, and trusties. In some cases, all are women. Is that wrong? Is that bad? Imagine schools without a hierarchal structure? Could they exist to prevent the abuse of power? Without them chaos and anarchy would prevail. Bullies would take of your school. The catholic church has a hierarchy structure, is it all bad? Thus, teaching that hierarchies are bad man things only existing for power is complete lie.
Come think about it, schools are white based power hierarchy, they must be bad? I want to believe that you hiring standards are based qualifications, and experience as the primary drivers. The fact that grade schools are mostly female operated are just the way it unfolded.
There were good things, where I am concerned is in the lack of the right type questions being asked.
I missed the definition of antiracism but sounds like something, like everything it needs to be questioned. Racism, any form is bad. Equality is the only way to move forward.
I will suggest that the works of Brooker T Washinton who was born in chains in America, freed when he was 5 years, tell us about how to overcome racism. Because racism has always existed, and unfortunately always will, in all directions. How we handle it, that is the question and some of what was said was good.
We should lesson to Thomas Sowell, who is another black man. He lived through the Jim Crow era; he can tell us what we need to succeed as he did when discrimination was the law.
Let us find out how they can succeed and teach these means of success to children. They have overcome things that we no longer have.
I will be happy to find people to talk about how to overcome and succeed. There are many out there.
As a black man once said, the first racist thought is not the problem it is how you act.

Thank you for your time and efforts,
Wanting to move forward in more thoughtful and fulfilling direction

Men Woman and dating, not anymore :(

Hello everyone, it has been a while, and this time we have quick note about dating. I originally recorded this back in October. I had some videos, the first was woman mocking men who wanted to meet women. The second was a man mocking women for wanting to get married. We have reached a now in the dating world, and I total blame social media, but that is whole other story. My point, men and woman, people, need each other. We need to pair and to bond. If we mock each other, and use each, we are the last generation. We need to compliment, to complete each other, even when know we don’t always fit right together.
